Dr. Paul H.J. Kim: Managing Partner

Dr. Paul Kim is the Founding and Managing Partner of Parakletos Ventures, which focuses on Asia centric investments.

Dr. Kim is the Founding Investor and past chairman of GCT Semiconductor, a leading semiconductor company in the 4G wireless industry. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Anapass Inc, which successfully went public on the KOSDAQ exchange in Korea in 2010, and Brovis Networks.

Dr. Kim was the first venture capital investor in Silicon Image (NSDQ: SIMG), the creators of HDMI technology that drives every flat panel television in the world today. Other investments include PowerComputer, which was acquired by Apple, Techwell (NSDQ: TWLL), and EChina, which merged with WuMart (HKSE: 8227.HK) to become one of the largest discount retail stores in China.

Prior to founding Parakletos Ventures, Dr. Kim served as Executive Vice President of Korea Technology Investment Corporation, and founded the Kim Law Firm in the Silicon Valley, where he served as counsel for American and Asian companies including Samsung, Hyundai, and LG. His success in the technology industry led him to be called the 'technology deal maker' between Korea and the Silicon Valley in John Naisbitts best seller, 'Megatrends Asia.'

Dr. Kim is also an elder for Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul Korea and executive elder and pastor of Jubilee Christian Center. He served on the board for the Living Stones Foundation, and has served on former President George W. Bush National High Tech Advisory Committee.
